Matching Weekends

There’s something in the way it’s rolling across the surface.
It makes me nervous.
I feel there’s too much stock invested to place a foot wrong, no middle ground to stand on.
But even dawn has a crack at the bottom of its back, and if you let the hours pass even morning shows its arse.
Was thinking maybe we could sleep in.
It makes it hard we don’t have matching weekends.
It got obstructed by all of the moving pictures, yeah it kind of lingers.
Trading blows with a friend just to keep me grounded, around the poorer houses.
Maybe prose has a place, even it it’s second rate.
And all the words you’d written down sound much better spoken loud.
Like; “was thinking we could sleep in”.
It makes it hard we don’t have matching weekends.
I was accidentally caught up in the movement.
I got so swept off in the crowd; feeling useless.
Procrastinating lazy, all that I’ve been doing.
